Terms of Use
1. Membership Refund
Minimum Membership term is 3 months. If you decide to discontinue your Membership at any point after 7 days and before 3 months, you will be billed for 3 months and for any/all lead credits spent.
2. Lead Refund
Contractors.com generates leads through the Contractors.com Directory and from Contractors.com’s affiliate partners. Before being sent out to our network of contractors, each lead is processed by our staff to ensure that the contact information appears genuine, the proper trade is selected, and that the lead isn’t a duplicate.
You are entitled to a refund for a purchased lead only if it meets one or more of the following criteria:
- Telephone number is incorrect. Prior to the refund being issued, a Contractors.com representative will confirm that the phone number is indeed incorrect.
- Lead content was not submitted by the person specified in the contact information supplied.
- Wrong Job Type selected. Our staff categorizes every lead, but sometimes a mistake is made. In cases like these, you are entitled to either a complete refund (if you decide not to pursue the job), or the lead price will be reduced to its appropriate price (if you still decide to pursue the job).
- A lead has been purchased twice by the same contractor due to a technical error.
If you think that a lead you purchased meets any of the conditions listed above, please call your account manager toll-free at 1-800-228-4990, as you may qualify for a refund.
3. Lead Credit is Valid for 365 Days
Lead credits are valid for 365 days from the date of purchase. Lead credits are deducted on a first in-first out basis, so leads purchased are applied to your oldest lead credits.
4. Reviews policy
Homeowners who employ the services of contractors listed in the Contractors.com Directory are encouraged to submit written reviews and ratings of the contractors’ performance.
Contractors.com does not verify the authenticity of each review before publishing it to the site, but does collect contact information from submitters in an attempt to reduce fraudulent reviews. Homeowners should be careful to only post accurate statements about their experience with their contractors, as slander laws are designed to protect people/companies from testimonial misuse.
Contractors receive a copy of each review we receive, and have the right to add their own comments to any review posted about them.
Contractors.com will not edit reviews in any way other than to correct spelling mistakes and blatant grammatical errors. Contractors.com has the discretion to remove reviews that include foul or vulgar language. Notwithstanding, Contractors.com reserves the right to add, change or remove reviews at any time. Contractors.com is not responsible for the contents of reviews posted to any contractor's profile.
5. Privacy Policy for Member Contractors
Contractors.com is committed to protecting your privacy. Contractor data collected is for the purpose of matching homeowners with contractors. We will not sell, trade or rent your personal information to a third party without your permission. We may send you offers through email or otherwise which we deem relevant to your specific trade(s).
In the course of your Contractors.com Membership, you expressly consent to being contacted by us in order to provide the services set forth on our site, to service your account, to address matters pertaining to your account, or for other purposes related to our business.
Contractors.com does not control the privacy policy of third parties who batch or transfer information to our service. A third party may have a privacy policy that is different from that of Contractors.com. In these instances, data that you submit to our service via a third party may be shared by that party.
Contractors.com may provide marketing statistics to reputable third parties without disclosing contact information or personally identifying information. Contractors.com collects information though the use of cookies to determine the effectiveness of our site and to enhance your experience with us.
Contractors.com reserves the right to place a tracking phone number on any account, and to record phone conversations resulting from phone calls to these phone numbers.

6. Contractors.com Waiver of Liability
AS A MEMBER OF CONTRACTORS.COM, YOU AGREE TO RELEASE CONTRACTORS.COM (AND OUR OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, AFFILIATES, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS) AND ANY OTHER PERSON, FIRM, OR ENTITY FROM ANY LIABILITY, DAMAGES OR CLAIMS (INCLUDING CONSEQUENTIAL AND INCIDENTAL DAMAGES) OF EVERY KIND OR NATURE, SUSPECTED AND UNSUSPECTED, KNOWN AND UNKNOWN, AND DISCLOSED OR UNDISCLOSED, IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH YOUR DEALINGS WITH ANY ENTITIES (HOMEOWNERS OR OTHER CONTRACTORS OR OTHER PARTIES).
